The 2025 Turkish Language and Culture Summer School, organized by Ibn Haldun University TÖMER in collaboration with the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs Almaty Educational Attaché Office, concluded with a closing ceremony held on August 14, 2025, following an intensive 10-day program.

2025 Turkish Language and Culture Summer Camp Successfully Concluded

Organized by Ibn Haldun University TÖMER in collaboration with the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs Almaty Educational Attaché Office, the 2025 Turkish Language and Culture Summer Camp concluded with a closing ceremony held on August 14, 2025, following an intensive 10-day program.

The camp, which hosted 121 students from Kazakhstan, provided participants with the opportunity not only to improve their Turkish language skills but also to gain a deeper understanding of Türkiye’s rich cultural heritage. Throughout the camp, students experienced an unforgettable program that included 64 hours of Turkish language classes, guided tours of Istanbul’s historical and cultural landmarks, art workshops, and a variety of social activities.

During the closing ceremony, speeches were delivered by Dr. Furkan Alpat, Director of IHU TÖMER; Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sarı, Director of the Haydar Aliyev Eurasian Studies Center; and Prof. Dr. Özcan Erkan Akgün, Vice-Rector of Ibn Haldun University. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of such programs in strengthening the friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.

In addition to the student-focused activities, officials from 12 different education institutions in Kazakhstan visited the university during the camp. Meetings were held to explore opportunities for future academic and cultural collaborations, and presentations were given to introduce Ibn Haldun University’s academic programs, international projects, and campus facilities. These discussions marked an important step toward enhancing educational cooperation between Türkiye and Kazakhstan.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, participation certificates were awarded to the students. Serving as a cultural bridge between Türkiye and Kazakhstan, this program provided students not only with language education but also with unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships formed during their stay in Türkiye. The students returned to their home country enriched with unique experiences that will continue to foster mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
