The İHU Center for Turkish Language Teaching, Application, and Research (İHU TÖMER) offers an educational program designed to help students achieve proficiency in Turkish, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standards. The program, consisting of five levels from A1 to C1, is conducted by experienced and specialized instructors. Through a communicative teaching approach that provides individual support to students, the language learning process is made more effective and efficient.
FACE-TO-FACE TURKISH COURSES
Our in-person Turkish courses are delivered through a student-centered modular system. Our beginner (A1-A2) and intermediate (B1-B2) level courses are conducted throughout the academic year in six 175-hour modules, each lasting 7 weeks. A final exam is administered in the 8th week. Our advanced (C1) level courses are conducted throughout the year in modules of 200 hours each, lasting 7 weeks. The modules are supported by various activities designed to develop language skills, including in-class interaction, group work, individual projects, and cultural events. The program aims to ensure that students effectively use Turkish in both academic settings and daily life. Each module covers one semester and lasts 7 weeks. Classes are held 5 days a week from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM (on Fridays, classes are held online from 9:00 AM to 12:20 PM). Class sizes range from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 15 students.

ONLINE EVENING TURKISH COURSES
Our online Turkish courses are delivered using a student-centered approach. The courses are conducted via the Zoom platform in 10-week modules. The modules are enriched with practice-oriented content, interactive exercises, and various online activities designed to improve language skills. The program aims to enable students to use Turkish effectively in daily life and social settings.

SPEAKING COURSES
Our Turkish speaking courses, offered both online and in-person, are conducted in intensive modules lasting 5 weeks, with either 20 or 40 hours of instruction. The modules are designed to help students improve their speaking skills through practice-oriented content, interactive exercises, and various speaking activities. Courses are organized separately for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, all aimed at helping students develop their speaking skills.
