MGIMO Students Explore Turkish Language and Culture at Ibn Haldun University Summer School
From July 8 to 17, 2025, Ibn Haldun University hosted the Turkish Language and Culture Summer School with the participation of students from MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations), Russia. A group of 10 students attended intensive Turkish language classes while also exploring Istanbul’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
The language courses were delivered by our expert academic staff, and learning was further enriched through cultural excursions to iconic landmarks such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, and the Basilica Cistern, as well as a scenic Bosphorus tour.
The students, who stayed on our Başakşehir Campus in a safe and welcoming environment, expressed how meaningful it was for them to experience Turkish culture firsthand and improve their language skills in an immersive setting.
At the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were presented to the students by Mr. Turgut Aydın, Deputy Secretary General of Ibn Haldun University, and Dr. M. Furkan Alpat, Director of the School of Languages and TÖMER.
As part of Ibn Haldun University’s vision to promote multilingual and intercultural learning, this summer school served as a significant step in introducing international students to both the Turkish language and the cultural fabric of Türkiye.
