The 39th YADOT Working Meeting titled 'Rethinking Turkish Language Teaching I'
The 39th YADOT Working Meeting, organized by the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (İHÜ TÖMER) and in collaboration with YADOT, was successfully held on December 21, 2024. The event, titled "Rethinking Turkish Language Teaching I," focused on current trends and innovative approaches in Turkish language teaching.

The 39th YADOT Working Meeting, hosted by the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (İHÜ TÖMER) and organized in collaboration with YADOT, was successfully held on December 21, 2024. The event, titled "Rethinking Turkish Language Teaching I," focused on current trends and innovative approaches in Turkish language teaching.

During the opening, M. Furkan Alpat, Director of the İHÜ School of Languages and TÖMER, and Atanur Memiş, Director of TÜRMER at Istanbul Bilgi University and President of YADOT Education Association, emphasized the importance of innovative approaches and collaboration in the field of Turkish language teaching. They highlighted the need to develop more effective teaching strategies and strengthen teacher training.

The event brought together expert academics, teacher candidates, and educators to share knowledge and contribute to discussions on topics such as course design, effective teaching management, teacher training, and cognitive approaches. Through various presentations, creative drama activities, lesson design proposals, and interactive training sessions were conducted. Participants discussed current trends in Turkish language teaching and shared knowledge and experiences to improve course design and teaching strategies. The event was held simultaneously both in-person and online.

İHÜ TÖMER continues to offer new perspectives on the future of teaching Turkish language through this event.
